KOTA KINABALU: The journey of bringing Malaysians together for healthy and active lifestyles continued, as MILO Malaysia Breakfast Day (MBD) 2023 arrived at the “Land Below the Wind”, uniting Sabahans for an empowering and immersive experience at Padang Merdeka, Kota Kinabalu!
The second leg of the nationwide breakfast movement witnessed thousands of Sabahans eagerly arriving early at the event, ready to start their day on a high note and be part of MILO’s efforts to build a healthier future for Malaysia by promoting healthy eating and physical activity.
Ng Su Yen, Business Executive Officer of MILO at Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad, added: “Malaysians have continued to showcase great enthusiasm and commitment to improving their well-being, as reflected by the turnout in Sabah where thousands of people came together to participate in MBD. Along with casting a spotlight on the importance of a wholesome breakfast and physical activity, we are also using MBD as a platform to raise awareness about environmental mindfulness. While our primary focus is on cultivating healthy behaviour, it is equally important for Malaysians to embrace a lifestyle that cares for the planet.”
After making an impactful debut in Sarawak, the MILO Goodness Workout continued in Sabah, with participants working up a sweat! As a fresh new addition to MBD this year, the workout was a resounding success in both states.
To celebrate Sabahan culture and inspire young children to appreciate traditional modern music and dance, MBD this year also featured local performances by talented artists from Tagap Dance Theatre. The atmosphere was further elevated by a spectacular performance by a local artist, Dabra Sia.
MILO Malaysia is a staunch advocate of nurturing a healthy nation and has spearheaded numerous projects to spread awareness in the community. In addition to its community-centred initiatives like MBD, MILO actively contributes to nation-building through a range of sustainability-driven programmes, particularly environmental stewardship.
Following the amazing turnout in both Sarawak and Sabah, the final leg of MBD will be held in Putrajaya on July 29 and 30, closing Malaysia’s biggest breakfast event for the year! For more details, please visit www.milo.com.my.
