KOTA KINABALU: Undi18 youth votes will have a big impact on the victory of any contesting party, said former Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
In fact, according to political analysts, they can also be seen as decisive factors for victory, he said.
Therefore, Salleh said it is important.
to continue to strengthen the policy to ensure development is in line with the aspirations of young people.
“They will also be a backup as dynamic and progressive young leaders who are able to lead the country to the success that everyone dreams of.
“Young people should be given the opportunity to be actively involved in making decisions about the future of the country,” he said in his latest posting on Facebook.
Salleh, who is also Usukan assemblyman, is confident that Undi18 can produce mature and quality leaders as a political frontliner.
In conjunction with the nomination day for the contesting parties in the six states today, Salleh said the people have the opportunity to continue to step through this democratic process for local development in their beloved state.
“Undi18 can really give freshness in terms of political party leadership and government policies in the long run.
“But it also gives us a challenge to win the hearts of young people,” he said.
